Ministry Timeline





2008 – In March, Gospel Colors Outreach, initially founded as First the Kingdom Evangelism (FTK), incorporates in the State of California. FTK trains 12 believers to share the Gospel Colors presentation in addition to two mission trips and one local outreach. FTK helps 152 people make a decision of faith.

2009 – In June, FTK receives 501 c3 status from the federal government. FTK trains 40 believers to share the Gospel Colors presentation and leads four mission trips. FTK helps 312 people make a decision of faith.

2010 – In February, FTK receives its first shipment of five-color soccer balls. In December, FTK hires its first missionary, Alyssa Seed. FTK trains 153 believers to share the Gospel Colors presentation and leads five mission trips and three local outreach events. FTK helps 582 people make a decision of faith.

2011 – In December, FTK hires a second missionary, Danielle Hollar. First the Kids, a ministry of FTK focused on children, launches under the leadership of Alyssa Seed. FTK trains 102 believers to share the Gospel Colors presentation. FTK helps 1104 people make a decision of faith and leads six mission trips.

2012 – FTK leads its first mission trip beyond Baja California to Guanajuato, Mexico. FTK trains 213 believers to share the Gospel Colors presentation and leads six mission trips and three local outreaches. In December, FTK hires its third missionary, Emil Reyes. FTK helps 1101 people make decisions of faith. Over 1542 people hear the message of Christ through FTK.

2013 – In February, First the Kids presents its first Gospel Colors class. In April, FTK leads a family mission trip, allowing children and parents to share the Gospel side by side for the first time. In June, FTK hires Chris Banda as a Child Evangelism Leader. In the summer, FTK sends missionaries to Columbia. In October, FTK signs a lease for new headquarters in Oceanside, CA. FTK leads six mission trips and five local outreach events. FTK trains 295 believers to share the Gospel Colors presentation. FTK helps 2498 people make a decision of faith and shares the message of Christ with more than 3130 people.

2014 – FTK welcomes Eli Cisneros as Latin America Coordinator. FTK leads several mission trips and local outreach events. FTK trains 330 believers to share the Gospel Colors presentation.  FTK helps 1972 people make a decision of faith and shares the message of Christ with more than 2949 people.

2015 – FTK experiences challenges early in the year. Missionary Chris Banda becomes Managing Director and Alyssa Seed Evangelism Director.  FTK leads several mission trips and local outreach events. FTK equips 13 churches and trains 161 believers to share the Gospel Colors presentation.  FTK helps 979 people make a decision of faith and shares the message of Christ with more than 1784 people.

2016 – FTK rebrands the organization as Gospel Colors Outreach (GCO), launches a Youth Presentation and training class, and prepares for a year of refreshed and renewed mission and vision as they partner with churches, improve curriculum, and materials for the Gospel Colors presentation.
